SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Paraplanner to fill a new vacancy that exists within one of their Financial Planning teams.
This role is responsible for administrative and technical support for the Trust Officers (Financial/Investment Advisors) within the team. Role is ideally suited to applicants who are recent graduates, preferably with a completed Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

- Matric a requirement, preferably with accounting a matric level.
- Relevant tertiary qualification a requirement, B Com or similar, or studying towards same.
- Post graduate qualification a requirement, preferably CFP.
- Computer literacy (intermediate): MS Office suite and excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Fluency in English a pre-requisite, second local language preferred.
- Clean, unendorsed Drivers licence a requirement, own vehicle preferred.
- Ability to work independently, pro-active, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, problem-solving skills and ability to demonstrate initiative.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collation of all necessary documentation relating to administration of local and offshore investment instructions, including redemptions and switches, and share dealing. Ensure necessary authority obtained, preparation and capturing of same on internal systems (Fundamental, and Climan/ CRM system).
- Preparation of client packs , and onboarding of new clients, and responsible for all client take on documentation, and loading on internal systems.
- Quarterly invoices for ad hoc fees.
- Client liaison: timeous response to, and resolution of all queries.
- Accountable for electronic and hard copy filing relating to investment administration; and advisory record keeping as per applicable financial services legislation, ensuring that all investment and payment instructions are compliant.
- Liaison with internal investment administration and support departments.
- Collation of all client monthly and quarterly reporting as well as tax documentation per client.
- Provide investment planning technical support to Trust Officer(s) in team, including research and analysis of client portfolios.
- Preparation of minutes of client meetings, record of advice and proposals.
- Client needs analysis and advisory support services.
- Provide regular client reporting.
- Prepare and collate client financial reviews and reporting for financial advisors in team.
- Investigate and resolve all queries relating to client affairs.
- Review investment transaction changes, and action, if necessary.
- Close liaison between internal and external investment admin, and specialist service departments.
