POSITION INFO:

Our client, a wealth management firm based in Bryanston, Sandton, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Paraplanner or Junior Investment Analyst to join their team. This critical role sits at the intersection of investments, data, and technology, focusing on high-quality portfolio reporting and data integrity.

The successful candidate will leverage technology and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and scalability across the practice while maintaining a deep understanding of financial markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Reporting: Prepare, maintain, and enhance portfolio review and investment reporting packs.

Portfolio Analysis: Analyze performance, asset allocation, risk metrics, and client data to identify key trends and drivers.

Monitoring: Support investment monitoring across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and cash.

Data Integrity: Perform regular data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy.

System Optimization: Maintain and improve data structures, reporting templates, dashboards, and automated workflows.

Innovation: Use technology and AI tools to streamline operational processes and analysis.

Requirements:

Education: A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Investments, Economics, Accounting, or a similar field.

Experience: Prior experience in a paraplanning, investment analysis, or portfolio reporting role.

Market Knowledge: A strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio construction.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.

Data Management: Comfort working with large datasets while ensuring complete data integrity.

Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.

Advantageous Skills:
Experience within the wealth management or investment management sectors.

Technical experience with Power BI, SQL, or similar data tools.

Exposure to portfolio management systems and investment reporting platforms.

Experience using automation or AI-enabled tools to improve workflow efficiency.
