PRINT ROOM MANAGER

SUMMARY:
PRINT ROOM MANAGER - DBN-NEWLANDS WEST
SALARY: R15 000- R20 000 NEG depending on experience
 
Monitor and manage entire printing and pressing operation end-to-end and ensure production standards and customer expectations are met
   

• At least 3 years management experience in a similar position
• Deep understanding of printing technology, inks, printing chemicals and printing equipment and processes
• Management Skills – Strong Leadership and team management skills
• Problem solving – Excellent troubleshooting
• Communication – Effective communication both written and verbal within own team and across other departments
• Attention to Detail – High level of accuracy and attention to quality control
• Analytical Skills – Proficiency in using data analysis tools and to analyse complex data to translate into production reports
• Adaptability – Flexible and able to adapt to changing production demands and new technologies 

• Sublimation printing & heat pressing
• DTF printing & PU Heat Pressing
• Laser cutter
• Embossing machine
• Responsible to develop colours and prints to match customer expectations
• Monitor production of samples and ensure quality standards are met
• Monitor and control of housekeeping and overall quality of production
• In charge of Research and Development and print techniques
• Implement and enforce improvements
• Work with relevant teams to action bulk printing / pressing
• Motivate, train and manage printing employees
• Liaise with internal department heads and other work centres to ensure production and customer expectations are met
• Ensure all printing equipment is properly maintained and in good working order (pro-active)
• Lead and manage printing and press operators
• Ensure that print and press room operates in compliance with health and safety standards
• Analyse production data and identify trends, inefficiencies and areas for improvement
• Document and implement standard operating procedures to optimize production efficiency and quality
• Generate relevant reports on print and press room productivity for management’s review
