POSITION INFO:
This global leader in East London is looking for an Automation Engineer to join their team of experts. As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and commissioning PLC and HMI systems for high-tech automation projects, with a strong focus on automotive manufacturing environments.

Education:

• BTech / BEng Electronic/Computer/Electrical Engineering

• Programming and configuration of PLC systems (Siemens TIA Portal and/or Allen Bradley)
• Development of HMI/SCADA systems for real-time data visualization and control
• Testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing control systems
• Site-based commissioning and support, working closely with engineering teams and clients
• Ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality, and safety standards
• Integration of control systems into robotic and mechanical installations
• Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, or Allen Bradley/Rockwell
• Experience with robotics, fieldbus systems, and network architectures (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
