POSITION INFO:
Qualifications 

• Matric 
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• Millwright certification or equivalent mechanical trades certification preferred

• Minimum 3+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance, support, or automation environments.
• Proven experience with mechanical systems in packaging or filling lines.
• Exposure to automation and drive systems is highly desirable.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate global customer needs (occasional off-hours support).
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites or the HQ in Italy for technical training

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues related to filling line machinery, including actuators, gearboxes, conveyors, and motion systems.
• Provide remote and occasional on-site support to customers and field technicians with a focus on mechanical faults and hybrid mechanical-automation failures.
• Guide troubleshooting efforts for misalignment, wear, vibration issues, and mechanical system failures.

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of mechanical components integrated with automation systems.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, exploded diagrams, and part schematics to support customer interventions.
• Advise customers on preventive maintenance for mechanical subsystems (e.g., lubrication, tensioning, alignment).

• Work closely with HQ engineers in Italy to escalate complex or recurring mechanical issues.
• Coordinate with automation support staff and field technicians to provide comprehensive support on multi-disciplinary issues (mechanical + electrical/automation).

• Assist with basic setup and troubleshooting of servo drives and VFDs as they relate to mechanical motion systems (belt drives, screw drives, cams, etc.).
• Collaborate with automation experts to resolve motion inconsistencies linked to mechanical backlash, resonance, or mechanical constraints.

• Use diagnostic tools and software such as Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, WinCC, and Beckhoff TwinCAT to interpret automation behavior related to mechanical faults.
• Perform basic checks on I/O signals and drive parameters to aid mechanical diagnosis.

• Document troubleshooting activities with a strong focus on mechanical findings and outcomes.
• Contribute to the creation of mechanical troubleshooting guides, visual diagrams, and step-by-step instructions for field personnel.
