Outbound Sales Representative – Manufacturing Sector

Are you an External Sales Representative with experience servicing the timber and carpentry manufacturing sectors?

Our client based in Epping, is expanding their sales team to grow their client base within the manufacturing industry, supplying raw materials, consumables, plywood and timber.

Your established client relationships and ability to identify and develop new business opportunities in this sector will play a key role in driving growth.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric, or relevant qualification
• Proven experience in outbound sales, ideally within the sheet timber supplies, machinery or manufacturing industries
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (essential)
• Strong technical knowledge of wood types, applications and processing
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Background in Industrial Sales, Wood Technology, Manufacturing or related fields
• Knowledge of the footwear manufacturing process and machinery is an advantage

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers in the footwear, furniture and timber-related sectors
• Achieve agreed sales targets
• Promote and sell sheet timber supplies
• Identify new business opportunities and grow the company’s customer base
• Conduct regular site and customer visits
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on customer needs
• Prepare quotations, follow up on leads and negotiate sales terms
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and product developments
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery
