Outbound Logistics Supervisor

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a candidate that is customer and quality driven with high levels of integrity as key behaviours.

POSITION INFO:

You will be required to supervise the safe execution of all activities in the Outbound Logistics process and to ensure that all processes and controls pertaining to the movement of finished products are adhered to.

• Certificate/ Diploma: Supply Chain /Warehouse Management
• Manufacturing sector experience essential
• 10 years plus experience in managing a logistics environment
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management
• Quality (ISO) experience essential
• Transport Logistics expertise essential
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Key Result Areas

• All aspects related to dispatch operations.
• Control and monitoring company drivers
• Control and monitoring the movement of finished goods stock in an efficient manner between sites.
• Monitor and control current warehouse management systems.
• Control daily operations from a systems perspective and highlight / resolve any anomalies
• Daily movement of inventory must be controlled and verified.
• Weekly cycle counts and feedback.
• Manage monthly inventory counts and report on results.
• Identify opportunities for process/systems improvements
• Apply safety, health and environment practices and legal requirements
• Comply with the requirements of the Logistics Quality Systems
• Notify the Quality Department of any quality non-conformances which may lead to Customer
• complaints (Stock damage, packaging, etc.)
• Ensure implementation and compliance of Logistics Policies and Procedures
• Protect company assets (working capital & fixed assets)
• Detect and prevent fraud
• Promote good Corporate Governance
