An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Operator (Explosives Truck) to join a dynamic mining operation. This role calls for a safety-conscious professional who thrives in high-responsibility environments and takes pride in their work, equipment, and delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a mixer-placer truck to load explosive products into drilled holes, ensuring adherence to strict safety and quality standards. You will also be accountable for the daily inspection, calibration, and cleanliness of the vehicle, as well as accurate reporting and quality control of explosive charges on-site.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics
- Valid EC licence with Dangerous Goods and Passengers (DGP) permit
- Minimum 3 years’ truck driving experience (mining environment preferred)
- 5 years’ experience operating heavy-duty (EC) vehicles
- Ability to conduct pre-use inspections, calibrations, and quality assessments
- Strong attention to detail and SHERQ compliance
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
