SUMMARY:
We have a position available for an Operations Manager in Epping area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for providing the scheduled service as per our contractual obligation.
Responsible to direct, guide and support the operational team and engineering division.
Manage and coordinate depot operations departments following standard company processes, policies, and procedures.
Increase operational efficiencies and control operational costs.
Identify and mitigate risk within the operations process.
Increase the business profitability within the responsible service areas.
Very good industrial labour background/experience and ability to navigate around HR and IR environment of the business.
Excellent business acumen and understanding of financial indicators that have an impact on the operations/business at large.
Able to act as a coach within a team environment to the responsible business unit.
Able to foster external relationships with key stakeholders.
Able to interpret reports, manipulate data into meaningful information to make sound business decisions.
Liaise with the appropriate authorities on a regular basis to pro-actively deal with potential problems impacting on the units'' operational area and profitability
Continuously improve current systems, policies and procedures

Desired Experience & Qualification

B-Com transport Economics/Business/Logistics degree
A good understanding of the public transport/transport/logistics landscape
5 years extended management experience or relevant senior management experience
