Operations Manager

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee warehousing, distribution, inventory, and transport operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, cost control, compliance, and continuous improvement while leading and developing operational teams.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years'' experience in Warehousing, Distribution, Transport, FMCG, or Supply Chain operations
• Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management processes
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and GP systems
• Excellent communication, leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inventory accuracy, stock control, and warehouse operations
• Oversee customer service performance and resolve operational issues
• Monitor budgets, control operational costs, and investigate variances
• Drive operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage fleet, equipment, and asset maintenance
• Lead, train, and develop operational teams while monitoring performance
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, and audit requirements
• Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to improve operational performance
