SUMMARY:
A leading distributor of electrical, automation, and control products is looking for a Operations Manager to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Manages warehouse, logistics, and customer support operations at the branch level to ensure service excellence and stock accuracy. You will be the bridge between our strategic goals and local execution, managing the Cape Town-based team and streamlining processes to drive growth.

Responsibilities:

Supervise dispatch, receiving, stock control, and driver teams.
Oversee branch stocktake and inventory accuracy.
Monitor logistics performance and on-time delivery.
Manage support staff and the customer collection area.
Ensure safety, housekeeping, and operational efficiency.
Financial Management: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and managing operational expenses to ensure healthy margins.
Supply Chain & Logistics: Coordinate with vendors and service providers (specifically within the Western Cape region) to ensure seamless delivery and procurement.
Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to South African labor laws, health and safety regulations (OHS), and company policies.
Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize daily business operations to ensure maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Team Leadership: Mentor and lead the Cape Town team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance.

Essential Requirements:

5+ years in logistics or operations management
Strong organisational and staff supervision skills
Knowledge of stock systems and basic financial controls
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations, or a related field.

Beneficial Requirements:

Distribution centre or warehouse systems experience
Forklift or stock movement exposure
