An established leader within the supply chain and distribution industry is looking for an ambitious Operational Accountant to join its growing finance team based in Johannesburg North. This opportunity is ideal for a recently qualified accounting professional who has completed articles and is eager to gain hands-on commercial experience in a fast-moving, operationally focused environment.
You'll work alongside experienced finance leaders while partnering with operational teams to provide meaningful financial insights, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making. If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, analysing data, and seeing the direct impact of your work on business performance, this role offers an excellent platform for long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with financial reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
Analyse operational costs, inventory movements, and financial variances
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies

Job Experience and Skills Required:
BCom Accounting or related qualification.
Completed articles (SAIPA, SAICA, or equivalent).
At least 1 year of post-articles commercial or accounting experience.
Exposure to stock, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, or operational finance will be advantageous.
