POSITION INFO:

This role involves:
Monitoring key operational cost categories
Analyzing variances against budgets and forecasts
Providing actionable insights and recommendations to operational managers to improve efficiency and achieve cost savings
Validating data received from operational units and FP&A to maintain integrity
Monitoring project budgets, track expenditures, and report deviations
Preparing and delivering monthly operational finance reports for business unit managers
Working with the Operational Assets Accountant to support asset tracking, acquisitions, disposals, and verification processes
Serving as a financial partner to operations teams, providing guidance on best practices and compliance with financial policies

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in accounting or operational finance within retail or multi-unit operations (preferred)
Proven experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and operational reporting
Proficiency in ERP/Accounting systems and advanced MS Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Collaborative and team-oriented
Strong organizational skills

Qualification:
BCom Accounting or similar
