SUMMARY:
Client based in Chloorkop (Edenvale) is seeking an Office Manager, ideally with a logistics / Warehousing background. This individual must have strong administration skills, knowledge of Syspro and Excel Advanced. The successful candidate MUST be able to speak, write and read Afrikaans due to their client base.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

  • Fully Computer Literate (Excel Advanced).
  • Knowledge of Syspro is an advantage.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Logistics / Warehousing background will be an advantage.
  • Attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees the scheduling of staff, transportation and materials needed to move a product from the manufacturer to the consumer.
  • Liaising with staff, suppliers, and clients.
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems.
  • Delegating tasks to junior employees.
  • Dealing with correspondence, complaints, and queries.
  • Preparing letters, presentations, and reports.
  • Managing office budgets.
  • Supervising and monitoring the work of administrative staff.
  • Organising induction programmes for new employees.
  • Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date.
  • Organising meetings and managing databases.
  • Organising company events or conferences.
  • Ordering stationery and furniture.
  • Using a range of software packages.
  • Attending meetings with senior management.
  • Assisting the organisation''s HR function by keeping personnel records up to date, arranging interviews and so on.
