SUMMARY:
Facilities Manager, Handyman

POSITION INFO:

The faclities Manager, willl be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of office buildings, facilities, infrastructure, and company-owned properties.

Ensures that all premises are safe, functional, well-maintained, and presented to a high standard while managing contractors, maintenance staff, service providers, budgets, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Management • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all office buildings, facilities, warehouses, and company-owned properties. • Ensure that buildings, offices, boardrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, parking areas, gardens, and common areas are maintained to a high standard. 

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilities or building maintenance management. • Previous experience managing office buildings, commercial properties, or corporate facilities. • Experience managing contractors and service providers. • Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems and preventative maintenance planning.

Knowledge & Skills

• Facilities and property management. • Building maintenance and infrastructure. • Occupational Health and Safety legislation. • Budget preparation and cost control. • Project management. • Vendor and contractor management. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills – Very important • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office). • Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
