Our client in the Hospitality industry is urgently looking for an experienced Night Manager to join their organization

Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape

Requirements:

Matric
Relevant Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management
Must have at least five years of experience within hospitality in a supervisory capacity (or related industry), with the ability to deal with front office/ food and beverage/ security matters as they arise
Must be willing to work shifts
Financial acumen and time management skills essential
Experience working with Opera PMS (or similar Hotel Management Systems)

Responsibilities:

Oversee night audit operations, night staff, and front office processes before and after ‘office hours’, acting as the Manager on Duty for the hote
Responsible for overall hotel operations before and after ‘office hours’, demonstrating service excellence and a positive guest experience
Take ownership, responsibility, and control of the hotel operations at night, monitoring activities of all night teams to ensure objectives are met and standards of excellence and policies and procedures are adhered to
To manage all night audit procedures.
To compile, review and share all management accounts
To ensure that daily PIT checks are completed
Handle complaints, solve problems, deal with disturbances, take special requests and/or any other issues that may arise
Take responsibility for the safety and security of the hotel, its staff, guests, and property by being visible and vigilant; liaise with the Security Control room as necessary
Ensure the day team is fully apprised of all relevant matters through the timely sharing of comprehensive and accurate information
Manage night team personnel administrative matters (e.g., timesheets/payroll process)
Be aware of any VIP arrivals, special requests, and repeat guests
Consistently strive to achieve maximum performance, and promote a professional service-oriented night environment in the front office, bar, or restaurant environs
Be familiar with and adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures
Maintain effective and positive working relationships with team members and other operational/ support areas
Maintain a positive work environment through compliance with quality and operational standards and great teamwork
Ensuring pit checks are complete and all house accounts have been checked and verified
Daily tasks as required: e.g., balancing daily outlet revenue dockets with revenue reports; checking cash balances from Opera and Micros systems
Ad hoc duties as required
