The Role

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a baker or pastry chef
• Relevant qualification preferred
• Valid South African ID
• Proficiency in baking techniques, dough handling, and temperature control
• Strong time management skills and ability to work overnight independently
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices
• Excellent attention to detail and consistency

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, croissants, muffins, cakes, and other baked goods overnight
• Follow established recipes and production schedules
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the baking area
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
• Work collaboratively with the pastry and kitchen teams to ensure quality and presentation standards
