SUMMARY:
National Manager of Sales and Marketing – Truck OEM
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Department: Sales and Marketing Division
Reports To: General Manager

Purpose of the Role
To lead and integrate the Truck OEM’s national sales and marketing functions—ensuring revenue growth, brand strength, and customer satisfaction across South Africa.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

Develop and execute national and regional sales strategies for the Truck OEM commercial vehicle distribution.
Manage dealer performance, fleet client relationships, and direct sales channels.
Monitor sales KPIs and adjust tactics to meet quarterly and annual targets.

Marketing Oversight

Oversee brand positioning, advertising, and promotional campaigns for Truck OEM.
Align marketing efforts with product launches, seasonal demand, and customer segments.
Ensure compliance with local advertising standards and cultural relevance.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

Collaborate with the General Manager to align Truck OEM’s commercial strategy with overall business goals.
Prepare monthly performance reports and market analysis for executive review.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve customer experience and retention.

Team Leadership

Manage department heads: Regional Sales Manager and Regional Marketing Manager.
Support recruitment, training, and development of commercial staff.
Promote a performance-driven, customer-centric culture.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Automotive Management (MBA preferred).
10+ years in senior commercial roles within the automotive/OEM sector(Trucks).
Proven leadership in dealer network management and fleet sales.
Strong understanding of South African automotive regulations and SADC market dynamics.
