National Lease and Contracts Officer

SUMMARY:
A well-established company based in Stellenbosch is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented National Lease and Contracts Officer to manage and administer lease agreements, contracts and related documentation across a national property portfolio.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Economics, Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, Legal Studies, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in lease administration, contracts management, property administration or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of lease agreements, contract administration and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing multiple leases and contracts within a large portfolio.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with property management or lease administration systems will be advantageous.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and administrative skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
• Valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer lease agreements across a national portfolio.
• Monitor lease expiries, renewals, terminations and rental escalations.
• Draft, review and process lease-related documentation and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with lease terms, company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate lease and contract databases and filing systems.
• Liaise with landlords, tenants, legal representatives and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate contract approvals, amendments and renewals.
• Track critical contract dates and ensure timely action on all obligations.
• Assist with budgeting by monitoring rental commitments and lease costs.
• Prepare reports on lease performance, contract status and portfolio metrics.
• Support dispute resolution and contractual issue management when required.
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and audit ready.
