National Field Service Department Manager - JHB

Required candidate in: thermal process equipment, pressure vessels or large-scale power generation machinery ie. High-Capacity Fired Heaters & Furnaces, Advanced Heat Recovery & Generation Systems, Large-Scale Pressure Vessels & Reactors, Heavy Power Generation Turbines

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Overall management of the Field, Service, Spares and Training departments within the Package Boiler business unit.
• Set targets, goals and objectives for the Field, Service, Spares and Training departments.
• Monitor and manage departmental budgets.
• Oversee all FSD projects through all phases from design, estimation, implementation, completion and warranty period.
• Oversee and analyse FSD project costs on a regular basis to ensure profitability of projects.
• Oversee and monitor compliance to SHERQ requirements.
• Overall effective and efficient management of the team.
• Regularly review and assess staff performance and training needs.
• Onboard new customers and retain existing customers.
• Develop and manage a sales pipeline.
• Develop mutually beneficial relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Address and resolve matters arising as escalated.
• Provide management with monthly performance reports on sales, service levels, customer satisfaction, operations progress and staff.
• The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and should be willing to work beyond normal hours and on weekends when required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• National Certificate N4 or Higher
• Trade Test (Mechanical)
• Computer literacy is essential

EXPERIENCE

• 10 years’ experience in service project management, project financial control, business and construction of boilers or similar heavy-duty equipment. Such as:     
• thermal process equipment, pressure vessels or large-scale power generation machinery ie. High-Capacity Fired Heaters & Furnaces, Advanced Heat Recovery & Generation Systems, Large-Scale Pressure Vessels & Reactors, Heavy Power Generation Turbines
• 5 years in leading and managing a team.
• Competence in MS Office applications.
• Boiler, boiler ancillary equipment and thermal processing equipment product knowledge
• Technical drawing knowledge.
