NETWORK TECHNICIAN - 1 YEAR CONTRACT (JOHANNESBURG)

SUMMARY:
IT Network Technician Required in Johannesburg. Please Note: This is a 1 year contract with possibility of being extended, based on performance.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Network of switches at access layer or at distribution layer or at core layer
• Switches series(i.e Cisco 2900 or 3650 or 6500 Series o Jupiter/Nexus/HP etc)
• Routers(Vendors[Cisco,HP,Avaya etc.] and Model) and Routing Protocols(OSPF / BGP)
• Network Monitoring Tools(PRTG, MRTG, Wirehark, Whatsup, Gold, Ehreal etc)
• Authentication Server(RADIUS, TACACS+,LDAP or Windows[If applicable] etc?

Have worked at least on half of the following technologies/equipment:

• Routing / switching, Infrastructure, Cloud, and security
• Technologies, LAN / WAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, IP MPLS VPN, IPsec, GRE, NAT, SNMP, DNS, DNS Load balancing, Link aggregation / EtherChannel (LACP, PAgP), Layer-2/3 protocols, EIGRP routing
• Routing protocols RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP with Route-Redistribution, Route-filtering and Policy based routing using Route-maps
• Mobile network communication technologies ; 3GPP. UMTS, HSPA, GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, LTE, VoLTE, 5G technologies, IP telephony.
• Wireless: Ericsson Mini-Link, Nokia MPR, Ceragon FibreAir, Huawei RTN, ZTE, Ubiquity TN, also AAruba, Huawei CPE, Cisco and Meraki
• Microwave P2P, P2MP. Tools; Visio, Path Loss, Map Info
• Technology; IP/TCP, Ethernet, TDM, SONET/SDH, DWDM, CWDW, ADM, ONT, RF, Microwave Links
• Experience in SNMP, DHCP, VTP, STP, VPN, RSTP, HSRP, VRRP and GLBP.
• Hands on experience with the Linux OS and CLI
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Helpdesk & End-User support
• Network Troubleshooting
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Technical Support
• Collaborative ability
• Agile Project Management
