POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking an experienced NATIONAL TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS CO-ORDINATOR for a well-established large concern, position based in the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

PERSON SHOULD PREFERABLY RESIDE IN THE PIETERMARITZBURG / PIETERMARITZBURG OUTSKIRTS (TOWARDS DURBAN)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Diploma in transportation would be an added advantage.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).

Responsible for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all transportation matters within the organisation. This includes managing budgets, organising schedules and routes, ensuring that vehicles are safe and meet legal requirements, and making sure that drivers are aware of their duties.

Excellent and reliable service from the transport fleet is essential.

Ensure that trucks and drivers are well presented and drivers well trained to engage with customers in a positive way.

3yrs+ previous proven experience in bulk tanker deliveries is ESSENTIAL!

3-5yrs previous supervisory experience is ESSENTIAL!

Knowledge of vehicle tracking systems.

Sound knowledge and commercial awareness of the industry.

Experience of management / leadership is essential as well as experience of training and performance monitoring of staff.

Aware of industry health and safety regulations.

Strong administration skills.

Fleet management experience.

Leadership and human resources experience.

Salary package offered: - Market related
