Mould Designer

SUMMARY:
A position has arisen in Design First for a Mould Designer to join our team based in Waterford Cape Town

POSITION INFO:
Job Description:

• Ensure that all product & mould designs are innovative and practical and that they mould efficiently at optimum cycles with minimum labour and maintenance
• Generate and maintain all CAD data, documents and electronic registers as per design office procedure and attend to all technical requests which arise from them
• Be involved with projects from initial brief to final design while maintaining traceability and adherence to company procedure
• Be a team player and maintain a high standard of personal time management and housekeeping
• Any other duties reasonably requested by Manager or other

• Minimum Technical Qualification N4/T2 level
• Minimum of 3 years actual hands-on-keyboard 3D mould design experience
• Able to interact and communicate on all levels
• Have strong planning and organisational skills
• An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with attention to detail
• A Positive Attitude is Critical - always striving to be the best
• Be a team player
• The following will be an advantage:
• Working experience of SolidWorks, Powershape, Rhino, DraftSight / AutoCAD
• Working experience in Injection or Blow Mould environment
• Tool-making experience in the plastics industry
