Mixologist

SUMMARY:
The Mixologist at Morea House Hotel is responsible for crafting and serving high-quality cocktails and beverages, creating unique drink experiences for guests. This role combines creativity, excellent guest service, and expert knowledge of spirits and mixology techniques, ensuring that each cocktail is prepared to perfection and delivered with flair.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and serve a wide variety of cocktails, both classic and signature, in accordance with the hotel’s standards.
• Maintain a high level of drink presentation, ensuring each cocktail is beautifully prepared and served.
• Engage with guests to recommend drinks based on preferences, creating a personalized and memorable experience.
• Manage the bar inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked, following health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Create and innovate new cocktail recipes, maintaining a fresh and exciting drink menu.
• Demonstrate a deep knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and other beverage products.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest requests, feedback, and complaints with professionalism.
• Train and mentor junior bar staff, ensuring they understand cocktail preparation, presentation, and guest service.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage customer tabs accurately.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws and responsible alcohol service.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as a Mixologist or bartender in a high-end bar, restaurant, or hotel setting.
• Extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and current mixology trends.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• Creativity and a keen eye for detail in cocktail presentation and drink innovation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and orderly bar area.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and the ability to manage intoxicated guests professionally.
• Flexibility to work evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
