Millwright Automotive Stamping Plant (6 Month Contract)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking experienced Millwrights to join an automotive stamping/press manufacturing environment in Durban . The successful candidates will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production machinery and equipment, including PLC systems, robotics, jigs and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled machinery and robotics.
• Maintain and repair stamping and press equipment.
• Work with and maintain jigs, fixtures and production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Minimise production downtime through effective fault-finding.
• Support production with technical maintenance issues.
• Ensure machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Tested Millwright or qualified Mechatronics Technician.
• 3 to 5 years relevant experience.
• Experience in a stamping / press plant is essential.
• Automotive manufacturing experience essential.
• Strong PLC and robotics experience.
• Proven experience with jigs and fixtures.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Must have own reliable transport.
