Milling Apprentice / Trainee

WE ARE HIRING: Milling Apprentice / Trainee
Location: Bloemfontein | Stipend: R16,000 per month

We are looking for a reliable, results-driven individual with a keen interest in the agricultural and milling industry. Join us as a Milling Apprentice / Trainee and gain hands-on experience in production, quality control and supervisory functions while working towards your SAGMA qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the team to develop and maintain positive working relationships and reach objectives
• Assist with staff performance development to drive productivity
• Monitor the recording of production data
• Conduct physical and visual inspection of material quality at different stages
• Inspect plant and machinery in the production area
• Maintain health and safety standards, including hazard-free work areas and reporting unsafe conditions
• Ensure compliance with food safety policies, cleaning and pest management programmes
• Maintain traceability processes for effective product recall
• Achieve pass rate requirements as per SAGMA

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF 4
• SAGMA registration advantageous
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, C-Works, Kairos)
• Basic understanding of the agricultural industry
• Basic knowledge of milling production processes and quality control measures
• Understanding of preventative maintenance
• Knowledge of ISO 22000, OHS, HACCP and TACCP regulations
• Strong communication, planning and organising, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
