SUMMARY:
Your Role:
Is to ensure our IT systems suitability and smooth performance. With specific focus around the operational support of our omni-channel retail solution and associated systems such as the data onboarding, loyalty (customer) management, operational and customer relationship systems.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:
- Ensure seamless software operation of our Stores on the POS, the transactional website and other key systems, especially LS Central.
- Act as the first point of contact when our business experiences issues. Thereafter, troubleshoot these (technical and complex) issues, identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements. Finally, recommend appropriate solutions (within budget guidelines) for systems improvements, stability and reliability
- To identify, design and implement enhancements, controls and measures that ensure the efficient running of IT systems in alignment with governance and compliance, best practice and the latest technologies.
- Where needed, collaborating with 3rd party vendors and working closely with internal stakeholders, key role players and appropriate business owners.
- Write technical and business requirements documents (BRD’s) for (new/updating) IT systems and provide input into reviews of benefits cases, project charters and conduct effort assessments according to business requirements.
- Define and execute test plans and procedures, that leads to the successful implementation of IT solutions. Furthermore, ensure maintenance and post go live phase is planned and in place.
- To participate in peer reviews with independent verification and validation, testing of code/processes and making documented recommendations to developers using best practices.
- Help ensure the effective use of IT systems by customers and staff, as well as knowledge transfer within the team.
- Ensure that documentation exists for known errors and system limitations and that associated processes and procedures are shared with the relevant parties, including internal colleagues, business users and 3rd party support providers.
- Administrative tasks include areas of: user administration, inventory system health checks, checking job queues, ensuring a clean and accurate feed of data from head-office to stores, daily housekeeping duties that develop as we grow, ensuring job schedulers run.
- In collaboration with the BI team, ensuring the data we collect is clean, consistent and ready for use in terms of analysis and being able to make marketing plans.
- Stay abreast of industry standards, system upgrades, participating in educational opportunities as well as sharing skills and best practice with team members to ensure continual growth of the team from a technical and systems view.

- Hold a university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or similar experience.
- Minimum 2 years'' experience of implementing or working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, LS Retail (a plus), alternatively Minimum 3-4 years'' experience in IT preferably as a System Analyst/administrator/support consultant.
- Retail systems experience is vital.
- Understand ERP systems and the specific needs of a business in the retail industry.
