Merchandiser

SUMMARY:
A leading supplier in the fashion industry seeks a Merchandiser to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Overseas buying & trending trips
• Range building and Design
• Supplier trips to China
• Attending Fairs & Sourcing suppliers
• Provide & manage problem solving for critical path (leadtime)/production issues
• Costing & Margin management
• Team Management (Co-ordinator & CAD artist)
• Training Juniors (Desigers, QA’s and Co-ordinators)

Requirements

• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Fashion/Clothing
• Min 3 years experience in a similar role
• Ability to take ownership and drive sales and orders
• Good understanding of the supply chain and retail supply business
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with buyers and suppliers
• Understanding of costing and negotiating prices
• Good attention to detail and numeracy
• Organised and good admin skills
• Fun personality and team player
