Merchandiser

SUMMARY:
Opportunity for a Junior and Senior Merchandiser to join an established supplier in the clothing industry.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Dealing with buyer queries and communication thereof
• Assisting with line showings and follow up sales meetings scheduled timeously
• Attendance of Line showings, taking notes and assisting Coordinator with style briefs
• Sending of style briefs timeously and accurately
• Checking of PO’s against allocated indents.
• Liaising with Coordinator constantly per their buyers costing and fabric styling.
• Liaising with Design teams regarding design requirements; design amendments; tech packs; TD’s and Cads etc.
• Assisting with Sample Approval process
• Checking of photo samples against CAD & TD and attaching photo sample card
• Verifying lab dyes / trims against original swatches
• Preparation of approval documentation with original swatches attached
• Receive approval comments via email and communicate email comments back to supplier
• Filing of all lab dyes / trims after buyers approval
• Assist Coordinator with costing of styles across fabric weights, construction, various levels of styling and finishing (wash etc.)
• Confirmation of delivery date
• Assisting with maintaining costing / Style files
• Assisting with actioning of customer QA comments timeously and accurately.
• Ensure all QA problems at any time throughout the process are known, processed, dealt with and communicated efficiently and effectively.
• Participation with QA in fittings and technical discussions.
• Assist in compiling the QA; PPS; Shipping sample reports and packs – comprehensively and timeously.
• Ensuring PPS reports are sent received and auctioned by the Suppliers.
• Checking of samples against the indent system, CAD & TD
• Submitting report to QA for approval
• Receive QA report & check all measurements & comments
• Timely and accurate communication of the QA report & graded spec to supplier - clearly communicate all changes to supplier
• Communicate with supplier on all failed QA samples and providing full comments
• Accurate updating of the indent system
• Filing of all QA reports & graded specs
• Preparation of sealed samples & all paperwork for QA rail
• Compiling a QA pack (PPS and QA Sample & all corresponding paperwork) and submit to the warehouse for auditing purposes.
• Chase warehouse for BPS’s 1 week before delivery
• Check samples against indent / CAD & TD
• Verify paperwork (order number, RSP, delivery, etc.) and submit to coordinator for checking
