Supervise and coordinate the operations of the medical waste treatment plant Ensure compliance

POSITION INFO:

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised plant supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our treatement plant. The sucessful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the plant, managing a team of production staff and maintaining high levels of quality and effciency.

Job Duties:

Supervise and coordinate the operations of the medical waste treatment plant
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Oversee the disposal and treatment of medical waste materials
Maintain records of waste processing activities
Train and supervise plant staff
Implement and enforce plant procedures and policies
Monitor equipment performance and maintenance

Requirements:

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a waste treatment plant
Knowledge of medical waste regulations and best practises
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education:

Must have a matric and a relevant qualification is an added advantage

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a waste treatment plant

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of waste treatment processes
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Strong problem-solving abilities
Must have electrical experience
Must have mechanical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Waste Management
Experience working in the healthcare industry

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a medical waste treatment plant environment. It may require occasional weekend or evening shifts.
