SUMMARY:
Medical Integration Technologist
POSITION INFO:
Main Purpose of the Role
To coordinate, plan, implement, and maintain Medical Device Integration and PACS solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with suppliers and manage procurement processes
- Coordinate integration architecture across systems
- Plan, implement, and maintain VNA and medical device systems
- Manage and support PACS systems
- Ensure quality assurance standards are met
- Provide service desk support
Requirements
Education:
- Essential: IT Degree
- Preferred: IT Honours Degree
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a PACS Administrator
- At least 3 years’ experience in ICT
Skills & Knowledge:
- Network diagnostics and troubleshooting
- DICOM connectivity and header knowledge (VNA/PACS)
- Windows server and application support
- SQL server and query knowledge
- SDLC and project management principles
- Messaging protocols (e.g., web services, XML)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Presentation and communication abilities
- Service delivery and support experience
- Medical device cybersecurity and data privacy (e.g., POPIA)
