SUMMARY:
Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter – Red Seal – Manufacturing - Germiston

POSITION INFO:

Job purpose:

Install, assemble, and align mechanical equipment and machinery.
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
Replace worn or damaged components such as bearings, shafts, gears, seals, and belts.
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and correctly.
Ensure all maintenance work is completed according to company standards and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job cards.
Must be able to operate a centre lathe and perform precision turning (machining) work.

Minimum Requirements:

Red Seal Trade Tested
Minimum of 3–5 years'' fitting and maintenance experience.
Must have proven welding experience and be able to carry out fabrication, repairs, and maintenance as required.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
Knowledge of workshop equipment and safe working practices.

Salary offer: R120.00p/h neg.
