Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid drivers license essential

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent

• Completion of Apprenticeship, certification or Associate Degree Program highly advantageous

• Technical / mechanical background

• Basic computer skills

• Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience

• Excellent communication and client liaison skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills

• Good organizational skills with a strong work ethic

• Ability to demonstrate sound judgement with the ability to make decisions and corrections when problems are detected

Key Performance Areas:

• Responsible for booking appointments with clients to carry out the servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and overhauling of compressors

• Provide clients with quotations when requested

• Complete reports required by management and submit in a timely manner

• Complete job cards and costings and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and timeously

• Conduct fault finding and run tests

• Ensure all tools and equipment are ready for each job

• Provide technical support

• Ensure parts and spares are ordered for all required jobs and follow up on delivery status

• Excellent time management

• Deal with customers

• Ensuring follow up

• Manage the flow of work so no jobs are overlooked

• Effectively complete paperwork
