POSITION INFO:

Mechanical Fitter 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responds immediately to machinery and equipment breakdowns, problems, and repairs
• Conducts proactive and corrective maintenance tasks
• Performs machine cleaning and start-up/shutdown procedures
• Assists in assembling, installing, and repairing facility machinery
• Undertakes basic electrical maintenance tasks and repairs
• Performs general maintenance tasks including landscaping, plumbing, and carpentry
• Identifies low stock of spares and places orders accordingly
• Observes safety regulations and good manufacturing practices

Education and Qualification:

• Grade 12 (Mathematics and Physical Sciences)
• Technical N2 or higher certificate in mechanical engineering studies with practical experience/training
