SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-driven Draftsman with strong engineering aptitude and a passion for agriculture and innovative technology. This role involves producing accurate 3D engineering models while collaborating closely with clients and internal project teams to interpret requirements, convert concepts into precise technical drawings, and ensure efficient execution within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Create detailed 3D CAD models for agricultural equipment and mechanical machinery
Produce comprehensive manufacturing and assembly drawings.
Oversee projects from initial sales handover through to release for manufacturing
Collaborate with factory teams, international designers, and suppliers
Accurately dimension mechanical components, including motors, gearboxes, shafts, and structural elements
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all projects
Work closely with procurement to support material sourcing requirements
Monitor factory assembly processes and resolve technical challenges
Conduct site visits to address design issues and adapt solutions to operational conditions
Contribute to continuous improvement by applying innovative, practical design solutions aligned with modern agricultural technologies

Skills & Experience:

3–5 years’ experience in mechanical drafting
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk preferred)
Strong understanding of fabrication processes and mechanical component design
Experience in agricultural equipment, high-speed machinery, FMCG, or manufacturing environments is advantageous
Demonstrated interest or passion for agriculture and emerging technologies in the sector
Strong organisational skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field
