SUMMARY:
MECHANICS
Our client is seeking a trustworthy Mechanic (ideally fully qualified) to join their small, close-knit team.
Must be able to speak Afrikaans and English fluently.
Highly reliable with sober habits, and demonstrates the ability to take initiative and run the workshop in the owner's absence.
This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both petrol and diesel vehicles, ensuring all work meets a high standard of safety and performance.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Qualified Mechanic (advantage) or Certification in vehicle repair and maintenance (e.g. ASE, City & Guilds)
• 2+ years of experience as a mechanic working on petrol and diesel vehicles.
• Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Strong knowledge of engine repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Experience with suspension systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Sober habits.
• Clear criminal record.
• Knowledge of computer-aided diagnostic systems.
• Familiarity with workshop management software.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic workshop environment.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or in extreme temperatures.
• Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects (up to 50 kg).

• Diagnose and repair faults on petrol and diesel engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Work on suspension systems, including shock absorbers, struts, and springs.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems.
• Conduct safety inspections and report any defects or issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to share knowledge and best practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and techniques in vehicle repair and maintenance.
