SUMMARY:
Maternity cover. Please note this is only a maternity cover for 4 months. We are recruiting for a Debtors Supervisor to join a retail company as soon as possible.

The Debtors Supervisor is responsible for the management of the credit control team, overseeing the daily workflow of the department. Ensuring that the risk to the unrecoverable debtor’s accounts is managed in a professional manner.

POSITION INFO:

The role is office based (Location: Fourways)
Duties include but not limited to:

Duties include:

Ensures billings and receivables are correctly processed in a timely manner
Addresses and corrects any discrepancies in accounts or billings
Serves as a Liaison between customers and controllers to assist with equerries and resolutions
Refers overdue accounts to collections
Provides or facilitates accurate reports and analysis on financial data and metrics such as cash forecasting, sales statistics information and monthly net sales reports.
Assisting manager with analysis of data and reports
Organizes monthly meetings with credit controllers to analyses the risk in the debtor’s ledger
Adhoc/Rebate claims monthly
Liability invoices for transporters
Monthly rebate calculations for payments
Liaising with the sales team to assist with customer queries

Accounts:

Reconciliations balanced monthly – both open item and brought forward
All Outstanding items attended to, (monthly)
Overdue schedule discussed with management monthly
Ensure overdue reduced
Plan course of action to recover overdue accounts

Follow up:

All items matched monthly
All remittances received timeously and allocated timeously

Claims:

Resolving outstanding, overdue claims
Processing of credit notes where claims are deducted and raised on customer accounts
Assist credit controllers with the monthly reconciliations

Processing cash:

All cash allocated daily as bank statement becomes available
All cash allocated correctly
Rebates

Minimum requirements:

Proficiency in English
- 10 years or more related experience in FMCG
- Minimum: High School Diploma
- Preferred: Credit Management 5 or higher
- Sage X3 experience will be an advantage
Advanced Excel
