Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Marketing and Sales Intern

Stipend: R5300 pm

Location: Sebokeng (Vanderbijlpark)

POSITION INFO:
Specific competencies, skills & experience required for Marketing

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to reach the target audience.
• Conduct a market research to understand customers needs and preferences.
• Create and distribute promotional materials (e.g. social media content, ads, brochures, etc).
• Manage brand identity and reputation. 5. Analyze market trends and competitor activity.

• Build relationships with customers to understand their needs.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Present products or services to customers.
• Negotiate and close deals.
• Meets sales targets and contribute to the revenue growth.

• South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the programme before.
• Attention to detail and Customer service skills.
• A certificate/Diploma or Degree in Marketing.
• Interpersonal communication.
• Administrative experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to multitasking and be creative on doing their functions.
• Must be a Team worker, Flexible and open to change. 
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently.
