Marketing Coordinator / Graphic Designer (Fashion-Retail)

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join a diverse multinational consumer brands business representing well-known global fashion Footwear & Apparel brands.

POSITION INFO:

The Marketing Coordinator will assist and support the Marketing Manager to build the brand and will be responsible for assisting in the production & execution of strategic marketing plans to build the brand in the market and build customer base. The Marketing Coordinator will also assist in creating original graphics for the apparel ranges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and execution of the SA Brand marketing strategy and brand plans to deliver the quarterly and annual brand objectives and goals as agreed and expressed in the Budget.
• Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Brand team to support seasonal ranges, campaigns, and sales activities.
• Execute designing of print-ready artwork across omni-channel media (screen printing, embroidery, magazines, billboards, signage, social media and POS, etc). This includes photo-editing.
• Work closely with the Marketing Manager & Brand Manager to foster an excellent working relationship with the Brand principal or regional marketing team.
• Coordination and implementation of annual omni-channel marketing plans flowing from corporate objectives and merchandising and operations plans.
• Support Marketing Manager with the execution of all external communication (digital, radio, print, PR, point of sale, events, customer presentations, etc) as well as internal communication (catalogues, sales tools, intranet, newsletters, reviews).
• Assist in the identification and management of brand ambassadors.
• Work with local & international stakeholders, staff and suppliers to maintain communication consistency at all customer and staff touch points.
• Coordination and execution of in-store solutions for promotional activities and visual merchandising campaigns and material.
• Photography of product will be occasionally required.
• Assist with customer research activities in store and the general marketplace.
• Maintain relations and flow of communications with the Merchandise and Operations Department.
• Coordinate all marketing activities and outputs to ensure that it is customer orientated and leads to a more involved, informed, and improved customer experience.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Essential: Matric and relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing.
• Essential: Minimum 3 years experience in a similar marketing role within a retail/fashion environment
• Excellent skills in adobe illustrator & Photoshop on apple mac with the ability to illustrate & recreate artworks using samples as reference, as well as creating totally original artworks in line with the brand identity.
• Proficient in InDesign with the ability to generate full cad story boards/production boards and final sales catalogues each season.
• A basic understanding of screen printing and embroidery techniques and processes in order to brief the suppliers and factories correctly.
