POSITION INFO:

Role overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Department Co-ordinator who is detail-oriented, has excellent time management skills and works well in a team environment to provide administrative and project management support to the Marketing team - this includes the brand team and the new product development (NPD) team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the department’s administrative tasks, managing the day-to-day activities of the marketing department, including scheduling of meetings, communication, and project co-ordination - ensuring deadlines are met. The Marketing Co-ordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department and will work collaboratively with other teams to support the overall goals of the business.   

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or a Tertiary Qualification in marketing, business, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in marketing administration or a related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Must have own means of transport
• Company based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role (but not limited to):

• Manage the team’s diaries, scheduling of appointments and meetings, booking of boardrooms
• Manage the team’s travel arrangements for trips and events, creating itineraries
• Coordinate communication between the Marketing Team and other teams, as well as external partners and vendors
• Assist the team with all courier requests, whether it be to suppliers, local media, agencies, influencers, consumers or other ad hoc requests
• Assist with all procurement projects, including branded merchandise, prizes, gifts etc
• Support the development, maintenance and reporting of company and marketing materials, including presentations, reports, certificates etc
• Organise and maintain the marketing department''s filing and storage systems, including electronic and physical files
• Organise and manage marketing store rooms and recording of marketing collateral inventory
• Coordination of team, brand and company events
• Administering CSI initiatives, donation requests and marketing samples
• Managing monthly billings (CEs, POs, invoices etc) with suppliers and internal teams
• Help coordinate events, both virtual and in-person, including logistics, vendor management and post-event follow-up
• Assist with research on industry trends, competitor activities, consumer behaviour and in-store activities (brand and competitor)
• Assist with monthly brand website maintenance and updates
• Support other marketing (brand and product development) and sales-related initiatives as needed
• Arrange product samples and hampers
