Marketing Assistant

Our client, a vibrant and diverse in-house digital marketing consulting agency that provides digital marketing services to companies in the agricultural, food and tourism sector, is looking for a passionate Marketing Assistant to join their team based in Pyramid, North of Pretoria. 

The successful incumbent will be someone that is very passionate about all things digital marketing, a skilled multi-tasker that is a jack of all trades and eager to learn a new skill as and when the job requires. The position requires a bi-lingual person that is fully fluent in English and Afrikaans, with a valid drivers license and own reliable transport. 

Being skilled in design, copywriting, account management, paid media, and working on content management systems will be highly advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Implement digital marketing strategies on all marketing accounts.
• Deliberate planning, strategy and goal setting on marketing accounts.
• Content and copywriting (blogs, newsletters, social media copy, website copy, recipes, slogans, billboards)
• Liaise with clients on a regular basis.
•  Cultivation of leads and sales accusation.
• Reputation management.
• Management of social media campaigns, influencers and month-to-month marketing initiatives.
• Work on and brief designers, copywriters, developers to create marketing collateral on a month-per-month basis.
• Keep track of social media platforms and website stats. Analyse the data and adjust strategies accordingly.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related.
• At least 2 years’ work experience in the marketing industry.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Afrikaans.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.
• Digital campaign management knowledge and background.
• Previous marketing strategy development, implementation, and management.
• Experience in both SEO and PPC implementation and monitoring.
• Expert knowledge of social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Design experience on Adobe or Canva.
• Content or copywriting experience.

Desired Software Experience:

• Adobe Photoshop/Canva
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Google Ads
• Content Management Software (WordPress – we use Divi page builder)
