Market Development Representative - Wholesaler/Partner Depot

Job Purpose

Based at a contracted BevCo partner depot/wholesaler, the primary purpose is to direct growth of BevCo’s portfolio into the general trade of a specific geography on behalf of the partner depot – must have intimate knowledge of the wholesaler’s client base and BevCo’s strategic growth objectives.

Key Accountabilities and Outputs Operational Objectives

• To effectively control the BevCo allocated space & logistics procedures at depot for BevCo and the wholesaler

• To ensure invoicing systems, pricing, forecasting and stock procedures are operationalised and controlled

Customer Management Objectives

• To identify and actively engage/ grow the informal retail base for BevCo in line with distribution targets area = be the face of BevCo to traders in the local market. To actively build the BevCo database of customers in the area

• To develop strong customer relationships with spaza’s/mini-supermarkets (in conjunction with GT rep as relevant)

• To ensure company assets (refrigeration; systems; tablets) are controlled as per BevCo governance requirements

Sales and Trade Marketing Objectives

• To actively drive and achieve defined BevCo sales and distribution targets in the defined geography

• To assist in execution of the marketing plan for the area as required (incl activations, promotions, fridges, POSM)

• To ensure BevCo merchandising and pricing compliance standards are sustained (in conjunction with GT rep as relevant)

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4

• Up to 2 years experience (Operational Execution) FMCG, experience in sales

• Basic knowledge of PC, or potential to acquire it
