Are you their next Manager: ICT and DevOps? This is a senior management position in the company to lead and coordinate the activities of the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) and DevOps teams. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities/Tasks:

ICT
  • Line management of the ICT team
  • Formulation and implementation of an annual ICT Strategic Plan and associated budget
  • Management of electronic information on company servers
  • Chair of the ISMC (Information Systems Management Committee)
  • Interact with company management regarding Interfront’ s technology platforms with the view to better equip or optimize the ways in which ICT delivers services to the company and its clients
  • Establish and maintain the ICT governance policies and procedures
  • Manage IT Security/Cybersecurity and incident response operations
  • Project management all ICT projects
  • Manage ICT operations and participate hands-on in providing the following services:
    • Service-level management (Availability and Capacity management, IT service continuity management and Information security management)
    • Service transition management (Change management, Service asset and configuration management and Release and deployment management)
    • Service operation management (Event and incident management, access management, request tracking and fulfilment)
  • Support the organisation’s Business continuity initiatives and operations
  • Manage and implement continuous improvement initiatives in the ICT department
  • Ensure smooth operation of the ICT Service desk to ensure SLA targets are met and escalations are handled efficiently.
  • Specifically act as the company’s information security officer
    • Communicate areas for improvement to management to improve the overall effectiveness of security safeguards and controls in the organization
    • Respond to emerging threats and other forms of targeted attacks, organized crime, ransomware etc.
  • Implement new and maintain existing cyber security initiatives and provide input into internal IT Security standards, and implement control and risk procedures
 
DevOps
  • Line management of the DevOps team
  • Formulation and implementation of an annual DevOps Strategic Plan
  • Interact with Dev, SE and QA teams with the view to better equip or optimize the ways in which DevOps delivers services to its clients
  • Establish and maintain DevOps procedures and ways-of-working
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project deployment and integration engineers in their daily operational tasks as well as expanding their capabilities.
  • Project management all of DevOps internal projects
  • Participating in the decision-making processes with respect to the evaluation and adoption of new technologies.
 
Role Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in IT
  • 5+ years’ experience as team leader/manager in an IT corporate environment
  • Knowledge of ICT technologies such as storage, networking, virtualization, firewalling, and antimalware/antivirus, messaging platforms, VPN, open source technologies, Server technologies (UX, Linux, Windows) backup and replication.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as intrusion detection, prevention and hacking countermeasures.
  • Knowledge of database administration and best practices.
  • Experience in solving technical issues inherent to large software systems development (build processes, release management, deployment).
 
Knowledge of the following technologies are advantageous
  • Software Build Automation e.g. Maven, Jenkins, Nexus
  • Automation e.g. puppet, Ansible
  • Monitoring e.g. Opsview, Nagios, Zabbix, Zenoss
  • Source control management e.g. Git, Subversion
  • Service Desk/Issue Management tools e.g. Jira Service Desk
  • Database Administration e.g. DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
  • Experience in shell scripting.
