Manager: DevOps Lead

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Network Communications sector is looking for a Manager: DevOps Lead on a contract duration of 5 months. 


Role Overview
The Manager: DevOps Lead is responsible for leading the DevOps strategy, platforms, and practices across the enterprise. This role ensures that development and operations teams are supported with the right tools, pipelines, and automation to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable systems. The DevOps Lead drives the culture of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and operational excellence while aligning with enterprise engineering governance and compliance standards.

POSITION INFO:

• Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (mandatory).
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc in IT/Engineering) – advantageous.
• Professional Certifications (preferred/required):
• Cloud certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD).
• Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Security/Compliance certifications (CISSP, CISM, or cloud security).
• Agile/SAFe certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner).

• Relevant Experience
• 8–12 years’ experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure roles, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven experience building and scaling DevOps practices in enterprise or fintech environments.
• Hands-on expertise with CI/CD, automation, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and monitoring tools.
• Strong background in cloud-native architectures and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Experience implementing SRE practices, observability, and incident response frameworks.
• Familiarity with regulated industries (banking, fintech, telecom, healthcare) preferred.
