Maintenance Technician

Duties:

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on meat processing machinery

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently

• Service and maintain equipment such as band saws, mincers, sausage fillers, and blenders

• Install, commission, and calibrate new machinery

• Collaborate closely with production teams to minimise downtime and enhance equipment efficiency

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

• Support plant shutdowns, equipment upgrades, and machinery relocations

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' maintenance experience in the food or meat processing industry

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills

• Experience working on meat processing equipment

• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)

• Relevant Electrical or Mechanical qualification

• Skills in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and calibration

• Ability to work effectively within a team

Nice to Have:

• Additional certifications in electrical or mechanical fields

• Experience with PLC programming
