Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:
Purpose
Gijima is recruiting for a qualified and CERTIFIED maintenance technician.
Responsible for attending to all campus support maintenance requests, give feedback and continually review costs to stay within budget.

POSITION INFO:
Formal Education
●Grade 12 (NQF 4)
●Electrical Certification/Plumbing

Experience
●Must have 2 - 3 years relevant experience.
●Self-driven: proactive
●Effective Verbal and communication skills
●Must have Valid Drivers License
Technical/Legal Certification
●Computer literate
●Electrical certification

Responsibilities
●Planned Maintenance
-Managing and conducting the required preventative maintenance.
-Conducting all routine maintenance inspections.
-Overseeing the continuous improvement of all preventative maintenance and inspection schedules.
-Maintaining and periodically updating the critical spares list.
-Ensuring stock levels of critical spares.
 
●Provide minor repairs & maintenance services
-Replacement of light globes; door locks, painting, replacement of carpet tiles and ceiling tiles;
-Leaking taps, unblock drains, replace broken toilet seats, unblock urinals.
-Adjust aircon settings
-Check for faults on the DB boxes
-Neaten and fix faulty wiring or faulty plugs
-Minor service of aircons
-Daily checks on DB boxes, generators and UPS
