SUMMARY:
Fabrication Manager – East Rand

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a structural steel works contracting company.

Oversee and verify material procurement against project-specific requirements and fabrication drawings.
Conduct quality and dimensional checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure all work aligns with specifications.
Enforce adherence to the project program timeline within the workshop and escalate delays.
Plan, coordinate, and manage all stages of fabrication:
→ Material supply, cutting, layout & assembly, welding, corrosion protection, and loading.
Manage and inspect subcontracted fabrication work to ensure it meets quality and timeline expectations.
Review and interpret fabrication drawings, sort and pack steelwork according to project phases and delivery schedules.
Sequence fabrication and workshop output based on priority and delivery program

A minimum of 3 years experience within the steel fabrication sector as a Fabrication Manager
Must know how to use Microsoft Excel
Own transport is essential
