Key Responsibilities

Lead a team to identify and implement the most effective technical solutions.
Assist in prioritising activities to maximise organisational benefit, liaising with stakeholders at various levels both within and outside the organisation.
Develop and apply excellent engineering standards and practises, including conducting technical audits.
Provide engineering expertise to ensure the smooth and optimal performance of plant machinery.
Conduct problem-solving activities, perform root cause failure analyses, and recommend solutions and preventative measures.
Participate in projects from initial conceptualisation through to implementation and commissioning.

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes

Minimum Grade 12 qualification plus a BSc in Engineering, BSc in Mechanical Engineering, or B-Tech.
At least three years’ experience in mechanical engineering maintenance at a supervisory level.
Strong engineering background with a solid aptitude for mathematical modelling and a sound theoretical understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
Exceptional attention to detail; approachable with a positive attitude and self-motivation; analytical thinker.
Demonstrate excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; able to work efficiently; honest, reliable, assertive, and a committed team player.
Proficient in computer literacy.
