SUMMARY:
My client is a logistics company on the East Rand and they are looking for an experienced Logistics Lead to manage their global logistical movements by air, road and sea. Specific experience required will be on international mining cargo (i.e. all mining related spares and commodities). Industry related qualification with a minimum of 5 years' operations experience is a requirement. SA citizens only

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key responsibilities:

Oversight of all cargo movement
Co-ordination of above with forwarding service providers
Accurate logistics reporting
Documentation accuracy and experience
Ensure operational efficiency of logistics team

Key outputs

Management of all logistics movements, with specific focus on international cargo
Freight agent liaison (including bookings, BV inspections, sign off BOL and distribution of export docs)
Overview of reporting requirements as needed
3rd party inspections
Effective and accurate systems admin and reporting on SAP
Ensure SARS compliance as per VAT regulations

** Industry related qualification is essential with a minimum of 5 years operations experience
