Logistics Coordinator

Our client in Kirkwood is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team.

Qualification:

• Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel training).
• Minimum 3 years working in transport and shipping environment.
• Knowledge of the Citrus industry will be an advantage.
• Experience in the logistics environment will be an advantage.
• QX experience will be an advantage.
• Matric/Grade 12/Equivalent qualification (NQF3).
• Computer Literacy (working knowledge of Ms Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong office administration experience.
• Reliable transport.

Main areas of responsibility will include:

Facilitating bookings and monitoring the logistics chain from empty depot to harbour.

Key performance areas

• Creating Bookings with various lines.
• Transport planning and scheduling.
• Communication i.e actively engage with the shipping lines, haulers, account managers and packhouses.
• Reports i.e. hauler tracking reports, bookings vs SI’s.
• SI’s (Shipping Instructions) and Q67’s are completed and diligently checked and verified.
